Son of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha is in the United Kingdom over an ill health
Reports said the news of Okorocha’s trip abroad was revealed at the South East APC stakeholders meeting held at the Uburu country home of Minister of Science and Technology, Dr.Ogbonnaya Onu on December 31.
Aham was flown abroad after his involvement in a bike accident.
A Nigerian daily, New Telegraph Newspaper reports that he was immediately flown to UK where he is receiving medical attention.
This led to Okorocha’s absence at the all important stakeholders meeting as it was also observed that the Chairman of the APC in Imo State, Chief Hilary Eke was the only state chairman of the party missing at the meeting.
Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu was quoted by the newspaper to have said
“I had been in communication with Governor Okorocha and he had assured me that he would attend this meeting but sometime last week, the governor called me to explain that he may not be able to attend after all as his son had taken ill and had been hospitalized in a London.”
Also, Government House sources, however, confirmed that during the Christmas week, Aham Okorocha, a first Class Engineer, had slumped and had to be rushed to an hospital and subsequently flown overseas for treatment.
He was accompanied by the governor and the Imo First lady.
