What Transpired At Owerri Municipal APC Stakeholders Parley With Okorocha At Ogboko

As part of the visit of stakeholders from various Local Governments in the State to Governor Rochas Okorocha at his Ogboko country home,  Owerri Municipal took its turn yesterday when Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha  hosted  political leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC from the municipality.

This newspaper was informed that the visit was led by former Majority Leader and member representing Owerri municipal state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lugard Osuji.

Top level sources at the meeting said Osuji lauded the state government for the level of infrastructural development in the municipality since Okorocha took over the mantle of leadership of the state, expressing their support and loyalty to the Rescue Mission government. He urged the governor not to be distracted.

The lawmaker also commended the governor for appointing Owerri indigenes into his cabinet including non indigenes, pointing out that Owerri Municipality have the highest number of non indigenes.

In his response, Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha  said he is delighted with the level of support from Owerri municipal. He said through the commitment and dedication of the House member, a lot has been attracted to the municipality. He promised to tar Oparanozie road which has been a major problem to residents of the area.

The governor as well commended Hon Osuji on the level of legislative dexterity and leadership qualities always displayed since he was elected as his people’s representatives and urge him to keep up the good work.

Those present at the visit include Hon Obinna Mbata, Commissioner of Finance, Owerri municipal transition committee chairman,  Alex Orjini , his deputy and some elders from Owerri.
