Former Imo State Governor, Achike Udenwa hosted the Orlu zonal chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at his Amaiefeke country home.

Udenwa has been in the cooler for sometime as speculations continued to run wild that he may be weighing several political options for 2019. A report had claimed that he is eying Orlu senatorial seat.
However, certain key decisions were taken at the meeting which is on the verge of ruputuring the party and Udenwa’s political camp. This newspaper was told that Hon.Jerry Alagabaso and Hon.Jones Onyeriri, two term federal lawmakers were endorsed for a third term.
Among those present at the meeting include Member representing Njaba/Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu Federal Constituency, Hon. Jones Onyeriri, another federal lawmaker, Hon. Jerry Alagbaso, Hon. Chuma Nnaji, Hon (Dr) P.I Ukaigwe, Hon Emma Dike, State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Damian Oparah and State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Martins Ejiogu.
