As part of efforts geared towards promoting peace in the Niger Delta region of Imo State, a maiden unity carnival organized by the Deputy Chief of Staff , Operations, Government House, Owerri, Hon.Engr.Kingsley Chima Uju has taken place at Umuorji Primary school.
The event according to the organizer is aimed at uniting the people and make them have a sense of belonging in order to showcase their talents,culture and tradition. The unity carnival featured music shows,dancing competition, masquerade displays, comedic attributes which thrilled the audience.
Dignitaries who witnessed the event appreciated Hon.Uju for organising the carnival. Among those who showered praises on Uju for organizing the event include: the Imo State Chief of Staff ,Hon.Uche Nwosu, the Transition Committee Chairman of Oru-West, Hon.Obinna Okoro, the immediate past Managing Director of Imo Housing Authority,Prince Henry Uzor Okafor, Hon.CJK Chinedu, Chief Charles Orie,Chief Ugo Sly,Chief Emeka Uzoka, and the Imo State Commissioner for Transport, Prince Lasbrey OkaforAnyanwu,the Transition Committee Chairman of Oguta, Barr. Gerald Mgborogwu, and the Imo State Commissioner for Special Duties and the owner of Orange Room Limited Owerri, Prince Francis Uzor,and many others to numerous to mention.
In his remarks, Engr.Kingsley Uju,expressed delight and satisfaction for the success of the carnival which he described as the Niger Delta Festival Carnival 2018. He however disclosed that the carnival is aimed at bringing unity to the people of the area and for love, joy and productivity in the land.
Uju further thanked Imolites for supporting and donating to the growth of Zara-Uju Global Foundation,stating that the foundation’s core objectives is to touch the vulnerable people mostly the poorest of the poor in the area to make them prosperous, live healthy and acquire requisite knowledge in the society.
The Deputy Chief of Staff reiterated that Zara-Uju Global Foundation has been established to touch lives positively.
