Considering the enormous human and material resources endowed in Ehime Mbano Council Araea of Imo State, Hon. Dom Ekeigwe has expressed dissatisfaction over the poor infrastructural development of the area.
Hon. Ekeigwe, an American based illustrious son of Umueleke Autonomous Community of the Local Government Area made this lamentation while speaking with news men in Owerri on Thursday over the state of affairs of the council area as a patriotic citizen.
He attributed the council area lack of developmental strides to ineffective representations and bad governance noting that if nothing drastic is done to positively change the status quo that future generations will not be happy with his generation.
Ekeigwe who is the founder of Apostle of Change Foundation also advocated the need for visionary and purposeful governance that would create job opportunities and entrepreneurship to the teaming youths of the council area who he said are unemployed.
The astute politician further called on patriotic sons and daughters of the council area to show concern on the governance of the council area so as to enthrone sanity, compassion, unity and progress as well as their wealthy and philanthropic individuals to invest in the area as a strategic measure of fast tracking development.
On the recent killings of innocent citizens in Benue, Nasarawa and Kogi States by Fulani herdsmen, Ekeigwe described the act as “Primitive, barbaric and inhuman”.
In line with the yet to sign greasing bill, the American trained Clinical Case Developer advised the Federal Government on the need to have designated places in different geographical locations of the nation to enable the herdsmen rear their cattle without constituting nuisance as being done in other parts of the world.
