President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo met on Sunday during the opening session of the 30th African Union Summit.
The two leaders are meeting for the first time after Obasanjo wrote Buhari telling him not to seek re- election in 2019.
Reports said they exchanged greetings, shook hands and spoke for about two minutes. They were joined by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar for a snapshot.
President Buhari was awarded African Union’s Anti corruption champion at the ongoing summit.
