Miss Nigeria, Imo State Govt. Partner On Youth Programmes

The Most beautiful in Nigeria (Miss Nigeria),  Imo State born Miss Ugochi Ihezue has received the support of the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha to collectively pursue youth oriented programmes and policies.

According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemedo, Governor Okorocha who received the beauty pageant and her entourage including the parents said although his administration has embarked on certain programmes and policies for the youths in the State,  the current war his government is waging against illicit drugs and other related matters in the State is very dear to him, because the exercise is aimed at saving the youths from self-destruction.

He described Miss Ihezue as a good example of what a youth should be, adding that her status as MISS NIGERIA would be an encouragement to other youths in the State in particular, and beyond, and commended her carriage which made her to win the crown.

Miss Ihezue told the governor that she is proud to be an Imo daughter, and that she had come to share her vision with the governor, adding that her encouragement was that the governor is someone that loves charity more than anybody in history.
