A top chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Sylvester Obinna is entangled in a face off with party chieftains in his Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.
An indefinite suspension has been slammed on the top politician by thirty six signatories in his Nguru Umuaro ward six who listed various allegations against him. His co party members accuse him of gross misconduct which violate relevant sections of the party constitution, alleging that he still “romance” his friends and associates in the PDP while staying put in the APC.
According to them, the party chieftain has been engaging in endless political battles with Rescue mission officials in the area especially those serving in the Rochas Okorocha administration.
The suspension which originated from the leadership of the Ward accused the party chieftain of undermining the party through the set up of a shadow executive even when the tenure of the executive still subsists.
The suspension was said to have been aggravated by the concern of party members to preserve the party which they have nurtured before Obinna left the PDP for the APC.
However, a facebook user, Mr. Sunny Ndukwu had posted on his wall that the apex leader of the APC in Ngor Okpala LGA and Secretary to the Government of Imo State, SGI, George Eche has intervened in the matter before it escalates.
