The expected Congress to elect fresh officers of the executives of the Ward, Local Government and State officers of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State has taken a new dimension.
Key stakeholders in the party including those seeking to pick the party’s governorship are waiting for the National Working Committee, NWC to decide on the date of the congresses for Imo State. Intense lobbying on NWC members in Abuja is also ongoing by agents of the two camps in Imo APC.
This newspaper however gathered that the NWC may reschedule the date of the congress for Imo State due to ongoing pressure from stakeholders in Imo APC.

This is aside the list of special delegates list from Imo State which has not been released by the party’s national headquarters.
The accumulation of events in the party has heightened anxiety within the camps of the Rescue Mission of Governor Okorocha and the Senator Ifeanyi Araraume camps. The two blocs in the party are alleged to making frenetic efforts to get the party schedule a date for Congress this February which is expected to be announced this week by the National Working Committee of the APC.
