Wife of Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu has visited Owerri, Imo State capital for an awareness programme on breast cancer.
Mrs. Akeredolu is a native of Emeabiam in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
A survivor of the dreaded disease, she led her group to visit the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha at Government House, Owerri.
She said is in the state on a sensitization tour to increase awareness on the disease in the 27 local governments of Imo State.
Governor Okorocha in called for routine health examination as a measure to guard against breast cancer for healthy living pledging support for the programme in all its ramifications.
