A youth summit in Owerri has endorsed the governorship ambition of Chief of Staff, Government House, Uche Nwosu.
The event took place at Titanic View Hotels in Owerri. Representatives of various youth bodies argued in favour for a youthful, credible, experienced and well prepared youth to take over the governance of Imo State in 2019.
Convener of the summit and General Manager, Imo ENTRACO, Comrade Jeff Nwoha said the aim of the summit is to reflect the interests of the youths.
Speaker of Imo State Youth Assembly, Rt Hon Samuel Godstime conducted the proceedings of the nominations on behalf of several youth organizations. Nominations were made. Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Acho Ihim was nominated alongside Chief of Staff, Government House, Uche Nwosu.
A voice vote was conducted and an overwhelming majority showing their permanent voters card echoed their support for the Chief of Staff.
