Nigerian Born American Trained Detective, Sam Nwanti Joins Presidential Race

As the race for the 2019 presidential election draws near in Nigeria, a Nigerian born American trained ex detective, Mr. Sam Nwanti has joined the presidential contest.

He said he will drive his ambition on the platform of the Labour Party, one of the registered political parties in the country.  Nwanti said his resolve to aspire for the Nigerian Presidency on the platform of Labour Party is driven after  extensive consultations across the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, Imo State capital, he said he has been in the presidential contest thrice in Nigeria after he quit his investigative job in the United States of America.

According to him, tackling corruption that has ravaged the country will be his key focus stating that the menace has dealt with Nigeria severely. He said after investigating what the problems of the country are, he is the only one who can solve the problems of the country, because he posses the capacity and expertise to reduce corruption which is one of the factors affecting the country’s growth and development.

Nwanti said he has the intellectual, social and economic capacity to govern Nigeria, assuring that he will fight bribery and corruption in the country headlong, including insecurity and hardship. He stated that affordable education, economic and social needs of the people will be top  priority of his administration .

“ Today, I m announcing that I will be running for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019. Reasons are, I have solutions to Nigeria’s insecurity, the President has failed to show leadership and incapable of leading this nation. I m contesting because I know  I have the technical know how to fix the problem of corruption and crime in the country. I m trained in these areas by the FBI and KGB in the United States” he said

He said he is among the 364 criminalists in the globe trained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, adding that he discussed his presidential ambition with United States President, Donald Trump who encouraged him to carry on with his political desire.

The Imo State born investigator said he regretted stepping down for an aspirant in thee 2015 presidential election, an act he said remains a huge political lesson for him.  Nwanti said he has the backing of African Americans in the United States who have already endorsed his presidential ambition.

He pledged to adhere to the rule of law, assuring that if elected he will live up to the expectations of the people.
