IMSU First Class Student Rewarded, To Study Abroad

Dr. Chigozie Ekenze, a graduating student at the 2016 combined convocation ceremony of the Imo State university has been rewarded for his academic exploits.

Ekenze’s academic expenses to the tune of thirteen million naria was released by the Imo State government to further his post graduate studies in London.

Dr Chigozie who lost his Father shortly after gaining admission to study Optometry in Imo State University was earlier faced with threats to withdraw from school for lack of funds as his mother’s vegetable trade could not sponsor his education.

With the turn around in his fortunes, his dream to study abroad remain realistic as he was doled out a cheque to further his education abroad by wife of the governor, Nneoma Rochas Okorocha at the celebration of seven years of free education programme held at Heroes square, Owerri.
