In furtherance of his commitment to protect legacy projects of the Rochas Okorocha administration in Owerri municipal, the member representing Owerri municipal state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lugard Osuji sponsored a motion on the floor of the House calling for no further mining at Nworie river and its environ

Osuji expressed dismay with the depth of sand mining activities ongoing at the stretch between the 1st and 2nd inland bridges which constitute a threat to structures of the said bridges as a result makes it dangerous for pedestrians plying them and pose serious erosion threats around the area.

Lugard Osuji as Chairman, Hon.Lawan Duruju and Hon. Ngozi Obiefule as members to invite all relevant agencies in charge of mining for an interactive session on Wednesday, 28th February, 2018.
