A fake lawyer and two fake pastors have been paraded by the Imo State Police Command, Owerri.
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the State Police headquarters in Owerri, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike said items recovered from the fake lawyer include a lawyer’s wig, letter headed papers and case diaries.
He said the fake lawyer was arrested at Orlu after defrauding members of the public the sum of N342, 000 under the pretence of selling auctioned vehicles.
According to him, the suspected fake lawyer, “Barrister” Beatrice Obiageli Nnanuoh, 35 years old from Iyiawu village of Onitsha but resident in Okporo Orlu in Imo State confessed to the crime, saying she has been in the business in the last five years.
Also paraded before newsmen were two fake pastors whom the Commissioner described as prophets of doom.
According to him, one of the fake pastors was a clerical head in charge of a Deliverance church in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State. He was involved in a case of false prophecy to one Blessing Ahamefula, a female from Ihie Orji Umuonyaogu Ngwa in Abia State.
He enumerated some of the command’s achievements, assuring the people of Imo State of adequate security of lives and properties to make the State one of the safest States in the country.
