Senator Anyanwu Demands Free, Fair PDP Guber Primaries, Joins Guber Race

Senator representing Owerri Zone in the Senate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has said he desires a free, fair and credible governorship primary that will produce an acceptable governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the 2019 governorship election in the State.

Senator Anyanwu spoke in Owerri at the PDP Imo State Secretariat where he announced his ambition to become Imo State Governor. Unveiling his reasons why he is aspiring for Imo governorship, Anyanwu said he wants to become Governor to put the State back on track through good governance.

“My mission is to build a free,fair and open society that will place the state on the path of sustainable economic development by giving the people the power to control  their lives while extending equal opportunity to all. These will strengthen all of our communities by inspiring our citizens to be part of the governance, using available human and natural resources”.

“if I am elected as Imo State Governor my goal would be to serve as a bridge between the leadership and the masses to ensure that the state is pulled out from the clutches of poverty, while ensuring timely payment of workers salaries, pensioners and full restoration of the civil servant’s wages and emolument”.

In his remarks, a chieftain of the PDP, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu said the time has come for the PDP to vote for credible persons into positions of power if good governance must reign in the State. He charged  party members to remain united, peaceful and formidable to get prepared to restore the dividends of democracy and rule of law in the land especially in Imo State as the 2019 polls draws near.
