Okorocha had thorough a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemedo, on Sunday said Araraume has never being a good party man.

The statement stated partly“ A good Party is the one who, when he looses the Primary, would work to support the party and the candidate of the Party. Senator Araraume has never done that. And we won’t allow him destroy APC like he had done to some other Political Parties.

“In 2015, he Contested the PDP Primary and Chief Emeke Ihedioha won. And he was in Court with Ihedioha until the election was conducted. He only began to relate with APC during the Supplementary election for the governorship.

“So, if Senator Araraume Contested the PDP governorship Primary in 2015, could he have in the circumstance also be one of the founders of APC? The answer is obviously in the negative” Onwuemedo stated.

In his response, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume said he will never leave the APC for Okorocha.

In a statement credited to him,  Araraume reaffirmed his loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari, assuring that he and other leaders of the APC are working hard to deliver the zone during next year’s election.

“We currently have a state government that does not respect the manifesto of the party and the rule of law; that does not believe that the party matters, and that those who worked for the success of the party should be carried along.

“So, this government must go. The proper APC government must come on board in Imo State in 2019. As a matter of fact, our people are already looking beyond the current government in the state.

“We have to fight this bad and ineffectual Imo State government to a standstill. That is why some of them are worried and have already started talking to Social Democratic Party (SDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other parties, while some are trying to revive the Action Alliance (AA). But we will defeat them wherever they go. Where am I leaving the party to?” Araraume declared
