Madumere fell out with his boss of more than 20 years when Governor Rochas Okorocha choose his son- in law and Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu as his successor.

Okorocha had rather advised Madumere to aspire for Owerri senatorial seat. The Deputy Governor turned down the offer insisting that he will vie for the number one job in the State.

Last week, he was relegated to the background as the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, George Eche was assigned the responsibility of swearing in new special assistants to the State Governor. Earlier, there were reports of an impeachment attempt on the Deputy Governor which was debunked by Okorocha.

Local newspapers however reported in Owerri that all announcements emanating from the Deputy Governor’s office has been shut out at the state government controlled, Orient FM and Radio. Also, it was gathered that funds to the office of the Deputy Governor had long been cut off as his office lack funds to carry out several official engagements.

Several repeated calls put across to the Deputy Governor’s media aide, Uche Onwuchekwa to speak on the matter was futile as he failed to pick his calls to respond to this newspaper inquiries.
