A Development Plan for the overall development of Imo State is underway.
The plan is a blueprint outlined by Mezie Imo Movement run by a frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the PDP, Hon.Tony Nwulu.

This was revealed by the Director of the Movement, Chief Lambert Opara who represented Hon.Tony Nwulu at a meeting of the Movement.
Opara urged members to continue to work hard and sensitize Imolites on the Programmes and aspiration of Hon Nwulu whom he described as an articulate, energetic, focused and honest young man, committed to the promotion of good governance in the State if elected governor
“Hon. Nwulu is very prepared, mentally and psychologically to reposition the state because he had already seen what it takes at the federal level.His priority would be on youth development and uplift,paymemt of pensions, development of agriculture and the economy. ”
He maintained that the Eziudo Ezinihitte Mbaise born member representing Isolo/Oshodi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives is the man to beat in the 2019 Imo gubernatorial election.
Nwulu had vowed to tackle myriad problems affecting Imo State. During his declaration to run for office of the Governor of the State, he promised to introduce policies and programmes that will uplift the well being of the good people of Imo State.
