Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN, an association of all online media publishers in the country will be part of 2018 Diaspora Day in Beijing, China.
The event will hold on Friday, April 27, 2018.
In a statement signed by Ismaila Yahaya Kana, National PRO of the Association, he said the invitation is “ a testimonial to the growing influence of the online media in shaping opinions by opening up new channels for information dissemination and also affording Nigerians additional platforms for a robust national discussion”
Part of the Statement reads:
“On the strength of the above, OMPAN wishes to state that for the sake of Nigeria; for the sake of bilateral relationship and mutual international development, it will honor the invitation and it’s delegation will be led by the National President, Mr Emeh James Anyalekwa.
“Let it be on record from this moment on that OMPAN has come to stay and in addition to regulating the online conduct of Online Media Practitioners, it is willing to partner any/all institution(s) both here in Nigeria and in the diaspora that wishes to engender the functional development of Nigeria, Africa and the world at large”
