In furtherance of his governorship ambition, Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has said his loyalty is to God and not man.
Madumere had fallen out of favour with his boss for more than 20 years when Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha choose his son in law and Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu as the one to succeed him in 2019.
Okorocha handed over the Owerri zone senate seat to his Deputy, an offer Madumere rejected thus sparking a break down of a relationship of many years that transcended beyond politics.
Madumere has marched on with his ambition and seems to have aligned with other opposition forces in Imo APC in a bid to further his aspiration.
Re- echoing his determination to carry on with his ambition, he took to his face book page to say that his “first loyalty is to God Almighty because Without Him I would not be here let alone who I am today”
He wrote “ My love, loyalty and fear of Him are the driving motives propelling me to strive for the good of my fellow man. My second loyalty is to you my dear brothers and sisters for the opportunity you have given me all my life that shaped me into who I am today. Whatever affects you, directly or indirectly affects me. Our future is entwined and I cannot do anything without your approval and blessings. What you desire is what I desire, a better Imo for all of us and together we will surely achieve that goal. It is not impossible. We just have to work together. Good morning and God bless you”
