2018 FIFA World Cup: Iheanacho, Iwobi, Moses Others Will Aid Super Eagles Passing Game- Mikel

Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, has mentioned six players in the Super Eagles team that will aid the team’s passing game  during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The 31-year-old said key players such as  Victor Moses, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi and Oghenekaro Etebo understand the philosophy of the team and coupled with their discipline, he expects Gernot Rohr’s men to perform admirably at the tournament.

In an interview with FIFA World Cup Russia Magazine, the former Chelsea said: ”This team is one team that really like to play football. We have Victor Moses, we have Kelechi Iheanacho, we have Alex Iwobi, we have Ndidi, we have Onazi, we have Etebo.

”These players all like to have the ball and it is important for us, we like to play a passing game.’ ”There is a lot of discipline, calmness in the team.

“Everybody does his job, everybody knows what to do, everybody knows you can’t let the team down.”

Nigeria will face Croatia in their first group match at the 2018 World Cup at the Kaliningrad Stadium on Saturday, 16th June, ahead of their games against Iceland (Volgograd, 22nd June) and Argentina (Saint Petersburg 26th June) in Group D
