LGA Polls: Imo IPAC Vow To Work With State Govt

The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria IPAC Imo State Chapter have promised to work co operate   with the Imo State Government to ensure that the people especially the youths are well educated on the need for peaceful elections in the state.

The Imo IPAC stated this on Friday in an interactive meeting with the Adviser to his Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, on Inter-party Affairs Hon. Steve Orji at Government House Owerri.

In his address, the State Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria IPAC, Barr. I. U. K Nlem thanked the Governor  Okorocha for having an interactive meeting with them, adding that the meeting marks the continuity of a harmonious relationship between the association and the State Governor as well as create a new synergy of co-operation and mutual understanding with the present administration.

In his reaction, the Adviser to the Governor on Inter-party Affairs, Hon. (Dr.) Steve Orji thanked IPAC for finding time to be in the meeting, noting that the close and harmonious relationship between IPAC and the State Government is very important.

He said the meeting will serve as a bridge and a better understanding between IPAC and State Government, and urged them to have that open mind to work with the Government.

Hon. Orji charged them to conduct themselves in a manner that will allow peaceful co-existence between the ruling Party and other parties in the forthcoming elections and shun campaign of calumny, abusive words and hate speech.

He said the Administration of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha has achieved so much that even the blind man can notice it.

“Everybody in this state knows that there is serious change in Imo State. Soon Imolites will understand that Governor Rochas Okorocha is a God sent in Imo. Are we talking of the numerous roads construction across the state, the opening of inland roads in Owerri city that makes it easy for people to move freely, construction of modern hospitals in all the 27 Local Governments, Free Education in all levels, rural and community development, turning Imo State to tourist centre, the ongoing Urban renewal, etc.

“ Don’t ever believe the insinuations of the mischievous makers that the ongoing Urban renewal of the present administration is targeted to punish the people. You are fully aware that Governor Okorocha has exhibited so much Love for Imo people in many ways. And the change you see today is to make Imo more better following the vision of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha”, Hon. Orji said.

The Inter-party Relations Adviser said Ugwumba Uche Nwosu stands the best aspirant so far, adding that no other better aspirant within and outside the party that is better than Uche Nwosu as he understands better the developmental system of the present administration, and the only person that can sustain the good work of Governor Rochas Okorocha.

In a closing remark, the pioneer Chairman of IPAC, Hon. Ukadike thanked the Governor for appointing Hon. Steve Orji as an Adviser Inter-party Relations whom he described as an active and well experienced politician who has what it takes to handle Inter-party issues, adding that with Hon. Orji in that position, they have a better working relationship with the Governor, and have settled their grievances over this present administration which according to him is almost leading them to go against the Governor.
