Angry youths have reportedly demolished the house of a landlord for shooting his tenant to death in Umuagwu village in Ohii in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
This newspaper was informed that the Landlord was furious with his tenant (both names withheld) for coming home late after he went to watch an English Premier league match. He was said to have been accosted by his landlord for coming late
The wife and children of the landlord is said to have gone into hiding for fear of being lynched.
“ The tenant thought it was a joke when he saw his landlord accosting his tenant back home when he was returning from a viewing centre and in a twinkle of an eye, he opened fire on him” said an eye witness.
The whereabouts of the landlord is unknown as at press time after reports emerged that the landlord’s late mother has been in the mortuary awaiting burial.
