Ever since making the Imerienwe declaration in which we unequivocally challenged and rejected
Governor Rochas Okorocha’s clandestine but fraudulent strategy of imposing his errand-boy son
In-law on the people of Imo State, we are deeply concerned on the continued intimidation and
harassment of our leaders and members using all sorts of unconstitutional and illegal means.
It is on record that since we commenced our well articulated opposition against Governor Rochas
Okorocha’s arrogant and unpopular imposition of his son –in-law who also doubles as his chief
of staff, Uche Nwosu, the phone lines of most of our members who signed the declaration have
been inundated with unprecedented as well as life threatening messages and calls. Moreover,
business premises, landed properties and even our family members, as we make this release, are
suspected to be in one form of unwarranted espionage, illegal bugging, reckless intimidation,
and mindless harassment or the other. It must be noted that our only crime is our collective
expression of our constitutional rights in standing against Okorocha’s pervasive, imposition of
Nwosu as his successor in 2019 against our party guidelines and norms.

Prior to this time however, you are all witness that we have carefully confined our positions to
the issues of the candidacy of Uche Nwosu coming from Orlu zone considering his relationship
to the outgoing Governor which we have argued is akin to third term by proxy.

But if we are pushed to the wall as we are, we are duty bound to explore all other possible means within the ambit of the law to draw attention, seek redress and defence as guaranteed by the constitution as
citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Regrettably, however, this may create the situation
where we, as major stakeholders of the APC will have no choice but to be seen to be exposing
the government of our own very party.

Consequently, after due deliberations today, April 22, 2018, at Okigwe, the Restoration
Coalition of Imo APC hereby give Governor Rochas Okorocha and his agents 21 days ultimatum
to wit:

1. To withdraw, stop as well as redress all manners of blackmail, muzzling, intimidation,
harassments and threats to life currently being used on our members and other dissenting
persons and groups in various forms and capacities as graphically stated above.

2. To rescind his desperate sponsorship of his son-in-law as Governorship aspirant – a
project which in our modest estimation has gulped Billions of Naira. If the governor and his agents fail to heed to our ultimatum, we shall take him to accountability
challenge and that includes but not limited to:

i. To henceforth inscribe the governor’s name, image and entire identity in our well
meaning fight to stop Nwosu’s 2019 governorship ambition.ii. To take all legal means to demand account for the finances of the state namely:
monthly allocations in seven years, LGA allocations in seven years, The ISOPADEC
13% derivation funds in seven years, 2015 bailout funds and Paris refunds (twice).
iii. We shall start a recall process of some Imo State House of Assembly members
including the Speaker who without consultations with their constituency went
against the wishes of their constituents to join the shameless leprous
endorsements saga.

Finally, we are calling on state security agents notably the police, DSS as well as human rights
groups, to be alert as the harassment of our members means that our blood is on Governor
Okorocha’s hand!
