Some stakeholders in the All Progressive Congress, APC met the weekend at Ugiri ike in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State at the country home of communications mogul, Dr. Uzoma Obiyo where they took far reaching decisions affecting the party in Imo State.
They said they no longer have confidence on Governor Rochas Okorocha because of his “dictatorial inclination” vowing to kick start the recall process of some members of the Imo State House of Assembly for endorsing a particular governorship aspirant.
This newspaper gathered that stakeholders at the meeting agreed to take back the party from “one man” and give it back to the people.
A source at the meeting said “the Assembly members whose actions are inimical to the progress of the State with particular reference to purported endorsement of a particular gubernatorial aspirant for the forthcoming election in the State which is not in their schedule and rules of engagement will be recalled”
They also frowned at the policies of the State government which they said were the sole decisions of Governor Okorocha which is not contained in the manifesto of the party.
