Making the disclosure in Owerri, the PDP Vice Chairman (Owerri Zone), Sir Bon Unachukwu, said more governorship aspirants are coming to the party, pointing out that those who have already declared their ambition deserve commendation for keeping the political atmosphere busy and working in synergy with party guidelines.

He described it as the beauty of democracy or democracy in action.

Sir Unachukwu maintained that all the Governorship aspirants will be subjected to a  primary election, where the best will emerge. He stated that the era of imposition of candidate and impunity is no more in PDP and as such, those going for elective positions should work hard to get the mandate of the delegates during the primaries.

Sir Unachukwu assured that Owerri Zone PDP will provide a level playing ground for all the aspirants. He said Owerri zone PDP under his leadership will do the the right thing at the right time because he is a man devoid of manipulations and intrigues.

He opined that whosoever emerges as the as the governorship flag bearer of PDP in Imo Statae will have less job to do because the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has done most of the campaigns for PDP by embarking on anti peoples government policies such as banning of keke, destroying people’s property, destroying markets, non-payment of pensioners and workers, etc
