Hon Justice James Okereke( Igodo)has joined the race for Owerri Federal Constituency.
He is running the contest on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Okereke is a well known politician from Owerri municipal having vied for the chairmanship seat of the municipality in 2003.
Speaking to newsmen on his ambition, Okereke said he is in the race to give Owerri Federal Constituency effective and quality representation.
He said if elected to the House, he will make huge inputs in the House that will translate to the overall gain for the people of Owerri federal constituency.
He said he posses what it takes to give the constituency a voice in the green chambers, a feat which has been lacking for a very long time.
Okereke who runs a foundation that carter for the needy and less privileged in the area promised that through the act of legislation he will attract more dividends of democracy to the people of Owerri federal constituency.
He said he had prepared himself for the task ahead having acquired sufficient experience in various fields of human endeavour that has prepared him to speak and defend the interests of the people of Owerri federal constituency.
Okereke also said he has taken note of the problems affecting the constituency which has prepared him for the responsibility ahead, vowing not to deviate from the core principles of mandate of the people of bestowed on him.
Having bagged several chieftaincy titles beyond Owerri which underscore his acceptance and popularity, Okereke promised to strengthen the bond of unity among the people of Owerri municipal, Owerri West and Owerri North local governments that make up Owerri federal constituency.
