A United States based technocrat, Mr. Dom Ekeigwe has joined the race to represent Ehime Mbano State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.

Disturbed by lack of infrastructural development, high rate of unemployment, deplorable social amenities and poverty in the area and ahead of the forthcoming political dispensation, Mr. Dom Ekeigwe says the good people of Ehime Mbano deserve efficient and effective representations in the Imo state House of Assembly in order to guarantee accelerated development and transformation of the constituency.

Ekeigwe an American trained democrat and technocrat who spoke during a one day sensitization tour cum rally of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) organized by the party leadership and chieftains of the local government area.  was ably represented by his Media aide – Mr. Everest Ezihe t at Orie Owerre Umueze 2 Ward in Ehime Mbano Council Area of Imo State.

He pointed out that his age long passion to represent the state constituency in the State House of Assembly is borne out of his patriotic desires to uplift the well being of his people as being experienced in America and other advanced nations.

Earlier, Hon. Tony Ikekwe, the Director General of Apostle of Change which is the campaign organization of the aspirant described his boss as the best candidate for the job.

Ikekwe also said that the council area zoning arrangement favoured the aspirant stating that the area is divided into two political blocs, Ehime East and Ehime West.

The Director General further informed that, since the inception of the present political dispensation, that Ehime West under Hon. Stamford Onyirimba spent 8 years and then power shifted to Ehime East and they have been on the saddled for the past 10 years, thus equity, fairness, natural justice and good conscience demands that in 2019 it will be the turn of Ehime West where the aspirant hails from.

In his speech, Mr. Mbo the council area chairman of APGA described the aspirant as a man of implicit courage, trust and confidence noting also that the party has resolved to conduct free, fair and credible primaries by given all the aspirants equal  opportunities.

He enjoined the party members, friends and well-wishers on the need to participate in the ongoing voter’s registration cum re-validation exercises by INEC so as to have their  permanent voters card (PVC) as an instrument to effect the required change soon.

In his remarks, Dr. Charles Onyirimba, an aspirant to Okigwe Senatorial Seat under the platform of APGA commended Chief Ekeigwe for carpet crossing from PDP to APGA, describing APGA as the political party that protects the interest and well being of Igbos.

Many eminent politicians and illustrious sons and daughters of the council area attended the political rally. Among whom are Mr. Rufus Amaefule, L.G.A Deputy Chairman of APGA, Chief Lasberry Ejiogu, Comrade Tony Anyanwu, Elder Nwobodo Anyanwu, Mrs. P. Njoku – APGA L.G.A Woman Leader among others.
