Former Minister of Finance, Kalu Idika Kalu has said he is yet to recover from the shock of  a bomb explosion that rocked his home.

Kalu spoke after he escaped death by the whiskers after petrol bomb explosions rocked his country home in Ebem, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

“If not for God’s loving kindness and mercy, my wife and I, would have been roasted alive. God knows how to protect His own; we have never wronged or offended anybody; we live our quiet lives”, he was quoted by Daily Sun.

The incident took place at 1.30 am on March 29 when Kalu and his wife was in deep sleep.

According to reports, the first explosion  hit the carport, which is some metres away from the main building and completely razed their Toyota Parado SUV.

The second explosion occurred at the main building and destroyed extensively a section of the house.

The explosion is coming after the home of another Ogbo leader, Chief Nnia Nwodo, the President General of Ohaneze Ndi igbo, in Enugu was  bombed.
