The Abundant Renewal Party, ANRP in Imo State has called on aggrieved members and warring factions in the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State to join the ANRP.
The call came on the backdrop of the controversy surrounding the conduct of the APC ward congresses in the State which further polarized the party .
Imo State Chairman of ANRP, Mr. Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu who spoke to newsmen in Owerri also said the ANRP is open to all those who have been deprived of the opportunity to stand for elections in their various political parties.
He said the party is a platform where their aspirations can be realized and also home of opportunities where equal right is availed to all with genuine intentions. According to him, the ANRP has a clear vision and mission to improve on the living standard of Imolites in order to salvage Imo state from the bondage of bad governance that has plagued them in the last seven years.
Mr. Chibuike also revealed that the ANRP has the best form of internal democracy mechanism where credible candidates will emerge, stating that the party has also conducted a successful congress in Imo State devoid of rancour and manipulation. He assured that the party’s forthcoming primaries will be free, fair and credible as a level playing ground will be provided for all aspirants of the party.
The young politician further explained that the ANRP also offers a unique opportunity for men and women integrity, particularly youths where their voices will be heard and made manifest. He advised Imolites to obtain their Permanent Voters Card PVCs, charging the electorate to place less emphasis on money politics and invest in the future of their unborn children by electing tested and trusted political leaders into various public offices.
“My concern goes to various warring factions who were either disenfranchised, shortchanged or deprived from exercising their political will owing to alleged infringement in their party processes. ANRP is a party full of opportunities void of impunity, nepotism, imposition and corruption Transparency, equity, fairness, due process and obedience is our watchword. Our collective goal is to eschew good governance in a Democratic system where a government of the people for people and by the people will be in power”, the Imo State ANRP Chairman stated.
