The call is contained in a document jointly signed by the four chairmen of the mechanic villages namely Comrade Valentine Onukwugha of Owerri Municipal,Comrade John Cajathan Ogbuegbu of Irete,Pastor Comrade Lawrence Iheanacho of Orji Mechanic village and Comrade.Ifeanyi Ugwuegbu,of Nekede Mechanic Village.

They pointed out that Mr.Nnadi whose tenure ended two years ago and has no right conduct an election or set up what they collectively described as a “kangaroo Electoral Committee”

The statement signed by the four chairmen disclosed that Mr.Nnadi is no longer practicing as a mechanic and has left his mechanic at Avu community in Owerri West LGA,stressing that he should not be allowed to install any of his stooges.

According to them, one Mr.Charles Emezeum as the Chairman has abandoned Avu Mechanic Village and went on to face his business as a car dealer at the old Nekede mechanic village.

The Chairmen alleged that  Mr. Nnadi cannot account of the funds meant for the relocation of their Transformer from Nekede to Avu Mechanic villages. They also accused Mr.Nnadi for frustrating the installation of the transformer made for Orji and Irete Mechanic villages, stressing that he has moral justification to conduct any kind of election in Avu mechanic village.

According to them,NATA is an association of its own and can not be used for anything in Avu and hence Governor Okorocha has renamed them as “Imo Modern Mechanic Village Avu”,but wondered why Nnadi would insisting of using NATA to short change the Governor’s propositions.

The Chairmen vowed to resist the move.

They however expressed their gratitude to Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Government House, Owerri  Engr. KingsleyUju for his commitment towards the development of the mechanics and also appealed to Governor Rochas Okorocha to assist them in the provision of electricity.

All efforts to contact Mr. Nnadi on his mobile phone was futile. But sources said the allegations against Mr. Nnadi are untrue and unfounded.
