The All Progressive Congress, ACPC has unveiled guidelines for the conduct of its congresses from the ward, LGA to the State levels.
The Guidelines are as follows:
APC GUIDELINES FOR WARDS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND STATE CONGRESSES
NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR PARTY POSITIONS – ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC)
Aspirants to party positions in the wards, local governments and States will be elected at the various congresses and will be required to be persons with the highest degree of Character, Competence, Capacity and shall pay the specified fees for the party nomination form.
The fees are as follows;
WARDS;
i. Ward Chairman N10,000:00
ii. Other Offices N2,000:00
PERSONS NOMINATING CANDIDATES FROM THE WARD (Chairmanship Candidate shall require 1 sponsor per Polling unit within the Ward, while other positions shall require 1 sponsor from at least half of the Polling units within the Ward)
LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS;
i. Local Government Chairman N25,000:00
ii. Other Offices N10,000:00
PERSONS NOMINATING CANDIDATES FROM THE LGA (Chairmanship Candidate will require 1 sponsor per ward within the LGA, while other positions will require 1 sponsor from at least half of the wards within the LGA)
STATES;
i. State Chairman N100,000:00
ii. Other Offices N30,000:00
PERSONS NOMINATING FROM THE STATE (Chairmanship Candidate shall require 1 sponsor per LGA within the State, while other positions shall require 1 sponsor from at least half of the LGA’s within the State)
a) All Aspirants for State Chairman and State Secretary must have attained the level of Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.
b) All Female Aspirants shall pay 50% of the prescribed fees.
c) Physically Handicapped Aspirants shall pay 50% of the prescribed fees.
