Former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim has said his successor, Rochas Okorocha is losing sleep over his 2019 governorship ambition.
Ohakim who reacted to Okorocha’s claims that he (Ohakim) does not talk like a former Governor, said the Imo State Governor is not on the same level with him. This is contained in a statement signed by Collins Ughalla, his Chief Press Secretary.
He said Okorocha is hated by his APC party men and women and “this is why he is hated even in the political party he spent billions of Naira belonging to Imo people to build today. Today he is an outcast in his own party”
Ohakim pointed out that he (Okorocha) is now afraid of him, recalling his achievements when he served the State from 2007- 2011. He called for a popularity test between himself and the Imo State Governor to asses who is more popular among the people of the State.
“I hereby challenge Governor Okorocha that within one week himself (even though he is a serving Governor) and Ohakim should take a walk along major streets in Owerri and test who is more popular and who has been rejected by the people” he said.
Ohakim also promised to write an open letter to Governor Okorocha which he said will contain “full indisputable facts and figures of Okorocha calamity in the State”
