The crisis that has ravaged the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State for a long time  may not be over with the Former National Organizing Secretary of the party, Senator Osita Izunaso heading to the Appeals Committee to challenge his defeat at the Convention.

The Coalition which Izunaso is a top member had alleged yesterday that the national convention which produced Governor Okorocha’s aide, Emma Ibediro as the new National Organizing Se was fraught with some level of irregularities.

A statement signed by the Coalition Chairman, Uzoma Obiyo stated “We are all aware that the convention was marred with a high level of rigging, intimidation and pressure from everywhere.

“In a brazen disregard for the public eye and opinion (even as opposition parties watched in ‘predator style’ readiness to exploit possible display of chaos in the event and of which they were not disappointed), ballot boxes were destroyed, thuggery and bullying were the order of the day whilst some state votes were not counted; we are all aware of what transpired”

Governor Okorocha had said he has forgiven Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Senator Izunaso and “all those he built politically who ganged up in the name of Coalition to insult him and assured that all hands must now be on deck to achieve Victory for APC as usual in Imo and in the whole of South-East”

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Sam Onwuemedo, Okorocha said “when he was elevating those in the Coalition Politically he never knew they all had governorship ambitions and remarked that they could pursue their ambitions without working to destroy the Party he built at the risk of his Second term bid and reminded them that Imo would have only one governor by 2019”
