The state chairman of APC Ebonyi state Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze has warned against any further attack on his members by the PDP ruling government in the state.
Nwachukwu who gave the warning during the inauguration of the new state executive council members, SEC of APC at the party secretariat located along Abakaliki/ Afikpo express road said the party will never condone any further attack on any APC member.
“This party has risen to its foot and will never condone any further attack on any APC member. And may we once again communicate to the law enforcement agencies that any further attack on our members and you fail to do the needful, we shall resort to self-help. We shall defend ourselves Nigeria belong to all us, enough of this intimidation and hummilation”. He warned.
He charged the newly executives members who were sworn in by Barr Ndubuisi Jeff Obiukwu to live up to its responsibility and ensure total victory of the party.
He said :”You are expected to discharge your duties according to the constitution of the party and that of the federal republic of Nigeria without fear or favour.
“Our mandate is to ensure that we win election from the presidential election to all other election in 2019. For you to do this, one of your assignment is to go down and mobilize at the grass root.
“You should go into the local areas and ensure that we mobilize our people to come into the party and vote for the party during the forthcoming election. Permanent voters card are being distributed now.
“It is your responsibility as a party officer to ensure that you monitor INEC. To ensure that there is no foul play. The distribution order is that, PVCs should be distributed at a designated distribution centre, not in somebody’s house.
“Ensure that the voters card is equitably distributed. No body should collect two at once. We have received report, alleging that some other political party are hobnobbing with INEC to give them more than one PVC at a time. If you see such, the are amount to criminality and such is punishable under the law.
“You should report such activity to the APC party Secretariat or you report to the nearest police station. If you see anybody carrying a bunch of PVCs, it is your duty as a party officer to make sure that such person is arrested and we will ensure that the perpetrator is prosecuted”.
Nwachukwu, also inaugurated a reconciliatory 7 man committee with Senator Antony Agbo as chairman, Dr. Mike Okoro and Dr. Paul Okorie as vice chairman and secretary respectively.
He charged them to reconcile all the aggrieved members and find out what their grievances are.”Your duty is to ensure that this aggrieved members are well compensated” he added.
