Workers of the Imo State Secretariat located along Owerri- Port Harcourt road are having a herculean task over the poor state of their workplace.
A local tabloid in Owerri wrote that most of the workers are lamenting over the leaking roofs which gets worse when there is a rainfall.
Some of the offices, according to the report get soaked with water that drops from ageing and leaking roofs. This made some walls to crack coupled with pieces of paper that litter around the State Secretariat.
According to the report, the entrance gate got damaged a long time ago and no repairs have been effected or carried out giving a field day for hoodlums to resort to criminal activities. A source was quoted to have said that there is effective supervision of the area for a very long time
