South East stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are expected in Owerri, tomorrow, June 8, 2018 at the behest of the Imo State chapter of the party.
A statement by Damian Opara, Publicity Secretary, Imo PDP, stated that those expected at the meeting are members of the Board of Trustees, National Assembly members of the party from the region, State Executive Committee, House of Assembly and principal stakeholders of the party.
Also expected are Zonal Chairman of the party, Chief Austin Umahi and his Zonal Executive members
The meeting takes place at Imo State PDP Secretariat, 98 Okigwe Road, Owerri.
“The South-East Zonal Executive Committee shall during the period of the meeting review the activities of the Party in the South- East geo-political Zone with a view of repositioning the Party to achieve overall successes in the 2019 General Elections.
“The Zonal meeting which shall have in attendance the Zonal Chairman of the Party, Chief Austin Umahi together with his Zonal Executive Committee members will be received by the State Chairman, Barr. Charles Ezekwem and his State Working Committee members. He will also use the opportunity to access the level of preparedness of the PDP at all levels in Imo State ahead of the 2019 General Elections” Opara stated
