The battle for the heartbeat of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State may not be over as the Imo Restoration Coalition have gone to the Appeal Court to challenge the verdict of the Federal High Court, Owerri which nullified congresses held in Imo APC.

This has sent clear signals that the APC in Imo State is further enmeshed in crisis as Primaries lurks around the corner.
According to spokesman of the Coalition, TOE Ekechi, he faulted the judgemen of the Federal High Court and re echoed the resolve of the Coalition to ensure Governor Rochas Okorocha does not have his way in imposing his son in law, Uche Nwosu as Governor of the State in 2019.
The legal hostilities in Imo APC has also raised concern relating to Primaries in the party which may come up between August and September as stipulated in the guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
However, hope has also arisen for the Coalition after reports emerged that the Special Committee investigating Senator Osita Izunaso’s petition challenging alleged irregularities that marred the election of the National Organizing Secretary, at the national convention, has merit.
Izunaso lost to an aide of Governor Okorocha, Emma Ibediro in a nail biting contest for the position of National Organizing Secretary of the APC
