Amuneke Predicts Winner Of World Cup In Russia

Former Super Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amuneke has predicted France as winner of Sunday’s World Cup Final.
France take on first time Finalist, Croatia in the Finals of the World Cup in Russia.

Amuneke, a member of FIFA’s Technical study Group, said France are the favourites to win the World Cup because they have an influential player like Chelsea Mid-fielder, N’Golo Kante

”Each team has a very strong midfield, there are also individually strong players in the attack,” Amuneke was quoted as saying by Izvestia.

”But Croatia does not have such a supporting midfielder as N’Golo Kante, able to close the center of the field and prevent the opponent from turning around. Due to him, the French are good defensively.”

Kante has played ninety minutes in each of the six games contested by France in the 2018 World Cup.

France have not won the World Cup since 1998 but reached the final in 2006 where they lost to Italy on penalties.

On the other hand, Croatia, are playing in their first final ever.
