Buhari Orders Repatriation Of Stranded Nigerians In Russia

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the repatriation of Nigerians stranded in Russia after the World Cup.

60 Nigerians were said to have traveled to Russia to watch the World Cup only to get stranded. Reports said they had taken refuge at the Nigerian Embassy in Moscow.

According to a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, he said the President directed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama to commence the process of repatriating the Nigerians.

He said it is in line with the current administration’s policy to ensure the welfare of Nigerians in every part of the World.
