The President of Sabbath Community Church of Nigeria, Aboha Ohii in Owerri West LGA of Imo State, His Grace Most Reverend Andrew Ibemere, JP has said the time has come for Christians in Nigeria to unite and work together irrespective of the denomination they belong to.
Speaking to journalists recently, Archbishop Ibemere condemned a situation where Pastors, Reverends and Bishops of different denominations behave as if it is not the same God all of them are worshiping.
According to him, it is the same God all the churches are serving irrespective of denomination.
He said that Muslim faith does not discriminate the way Christians discriminate and that is what makes the Muslim religion tick.
Bishop Ibemere stated that there is a lot to be derived if churches unite and speak with one voice. He said that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) was formed to foster unity but to a large extent, it is yet to achieve that purpose.
Archbishop Ibemere further stated that he is prepared to his colleagues and expect them to reciprocate.
