The Court Order, according to reports, was based on an application by the Deputy Governor who prayed the court to halt the process against him by the Imo State House of Assembly.

On Tuesday, the House of Assembly constituted a six man committee headed by member representing Obowo State Constituency, Hon. Kennedy Ibe.

Two days later, the committee tendered a report before the House recommending that the Deputy Governor has a case to answer over allegations of gross misconduct leveled against him by 13 lawmakers.

The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Acho Ihim directed the State Chief Judge to set up a 7 man panel to investigate the allegations.

“Any party affected by this order may apply to set it aside for good cause,” the judge directed.

“Parties are to file a written argument addressing this court on its jurisdiction to entertain the instant suit.
