More reactions has continued to trail the killing of Hon Sunny Ejiagwu, the Ideaton North Local Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
In a statement by FCC Jones Onwusoanya, the party expressed rude shock on the death of the party chairman.
The statement reads:
“The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Daniel Nwafor and all members of the State Working Committee of the Party in Imo State did receive with a rude shock, the death, possibly, in the hands of yet to be identified gunmen, of our valued Party member and Chairman of the Party in Ideato North, Hon. Sunny Ejiagwu, who is popularly known as Ohanaeze.
Sunny Ejiagwu was a committed leader, businessman, development minded politician, family man and peacemaker throughout his lifetime. He was recently elected by majority of Party members in Ideato North as Chairman of the Party in that LGA as he had shown himself to be a tested and trustworthy leader over the years that he had been involved in politics.
“The Chairman and the Imo State SWC of the Party send their sincere condolences to his young family, relatives, friends, all APC members in Ideato North and indeed the entire people of Ideato North.
“As we pray for the peaceful repose of his gentle soul, the Party urges security agencies to ensure that the circumstances behind his death is unraveled and anyone linked to this gruesome death is made to face justice. The Party shall collaborate with the family to organize a befitting funeral for the slain Comrade.
