The Deputy Governor was impeached by members of the Imo State House of Assembly on Monday despite an order of the Federal High Court.

A former Governor of the State, Ikedi Ohakim in a facebook post described the impeachment as very disturbing.

“… Has it gotten to the extent that we blatantly ignore court orders? Surely, this trend of disregard of our judiciary and treating our judges like toilet paper must come to an end come 2019. That is my #Assurance” he posted

A federal lawmaker, representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Hon. Henry Nwawuba was quotd to have described the impeachment of the Deputy as a dastardly act. He also said it is an assault on democracy.

”A shameful and desperate bid to hold on to power at all costs and a total disregard for court process. Unfortunately this shameful act is being perpetrated across multiple APC controlled states by the legislative arm in the states” he was quoted to have said.

In his reaction, a social crusader and Chief Press Secretary to former Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, said he cautioned Madumere on what befell him.

He wrote:

When the process to Impeach the Immediate Past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince EZE MADUMERE was announced, with a long list of allegations against him, by the Imo State House of Assembly, I remember cautioning and advising him to go and make up with his Boss, Personal Friend and Confidant, Owelle Rochas Okorocha by apologizing and genuinely showing remorse. Unfortunately, he did not listen to me. I was called names. I was insulted by political misfits.

Prince EZE MADUMERE remains the closest person to Governor Okorocha, but he reportedly abused and castrated that relationship by hobnobbing with Okorocha’s Political enemies, to the extent that he reportedly danced and celebrated with them, just to Mock his Boss. By that Miscalculated Political Adventure, Prince EZE MADUMERE openly declared himself Governor Okorocha’s enemy.

Okorocha remains Madumere’s benefactor; he was the governor’s first Political Appointee when Okorocha was inaugurated as Governor in May 2011. In March 2013 following the removal of Sir Jude AGBASO as Deputy GOVERNOR, Okorocha upgraded Prince MADUMERE by appointing him as a replacement for Sir AGBASO. In 2015, Okorocha retained the same MADUMERE as his Deputy by allowing him to run on a joint ticket with him.

MADUMERE should have been grateful to Okorocha, even if the Governor may have “offended” him by not supporting his rumored GOVERNORSHIP Aspiration in 2019. But the same Okorocha graciously pleaded with his beloved Deputy to go for Senate, but it was turned down.

Rather than go into proper negotiation with his Boss, Prince MADUMERE “Hogamugally” teamed up with the governor’s enemies to fight his benefactor.

It was at this point I cried, shouted and indeed pleaded with the now impeached Deputy Governor to thread softly, make a U- Turn and go back to his Boss and benefactor and beg for forgiveness.

Now that Prince EZE MADUMERE has been impeached by the Imo State House of Assembly today, the scales have indeed fallen from his eyes. He has seen his mistakes. He has truly realized that he was deceived and used by POLITICAL NEVER DO WELLS to fight his Boss.

As it stands now, Prince EZE MADUMERE is Politically finished in Imo State. His Aides did not in any way assist him, by at least advising him to make Peace with OWELLE GLOBAL.
Honestly, I shed no tears for him. O yes, I do not sympathize with my friend and brother, Prince EZE MADUMERE. He did not listen to me. He allowed NDI NMADU to deceive him into fighting His Boss, OWELLE GLOBAL.
