The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Owerri Branch on Monday staged a peaceful protest to express their displeasure over alleged assault on the Chief Magistrate of Umuneke Ngor Court in Ngor Okpala Local Council Area of Imo State.
They carried placards with various inscriptions accusing the Police of manhandling one of their colleagues.
They boycotted court activities and expressed disappointment over the development, stating that a similar incident had occurred at the same police Divison.
Damian Nosike, NBA Chairman, Owerri Chapter, while answering questions from journalists,condemned the act.
He stressed that the invasion was contemptuous and constituted a disruption of administration of justice.
