Basking on the gains of the Not Too Young To Run Act, Comrade Noble Iyke Edoziem, a youth has joined the race to represent Ikeduru/Mbaitoli Federal Constituency on the platform of MAJA party.
Edoziem in a statement admitted that one of the fine innovations of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration is the signing into law of the Not Too Young To Run Bill initiated on the floor of the House of Representatives by Imo State born Hon. Tony Nwulu which has greatly motivated youths to seek elective positions in the 2019 general elections.
He said since the bill was signed into law, majority of youths in Imo State have been encouraged to seek for elective positions such as the State House of Assembly which they consider less expensive and less cumbersome with a few others showing interest in the House of Reps and senatorial contests.
For him, he said he is motivated to seek for a higher public office- the House of Representative seat in Mbaike made up of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Local Governments.
Edoziem is currently the National Publicity Secretary of the Maja party in Imo State which is gradually becoming one of the major political parties in the State.
Some youths who spoke on his political ambition hailed Edoziem’s declaration, describing it as a bold move and vowed to support his aspiration.
“Edoziem posses a sound mind, educated and well prepared to represent Mbaike Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives”
He is one of the youths that is not just qualified but has shown willingness to serve the people of Mbaike” said Chuka Okafor, a youth from Mbaitoli LGA
