The South East APC rally organized by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has raised some concern as all the five South East ministers in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government were absent.

The rally had generated some controversy as some notable party leaders from the region were also absent.

The five ministers are Ogbonnaya Onu (Science and Technology), Chris Ngige (Labour and Employment), Okechukwu Enelemah (Trade and Investement), Geoffrey Onyeama (Foreign Affairs), Anthony Anwuka ( Minister of State, Education)

Former Governors who are top chieftains of the party who were absent include Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Martin Elechi and former Senate President, Ken Nnamani.

However, the rally was witnessed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, Former PDP National Chairman and ex Governor, Ali Modu Sherrif.

In his speech, National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole heaped the blame of the nation’s woes on the doorstep of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, assuring that President Buhari will carry out more projects in the South East region aside the ongoing Second Niger Bridge.

He called for support for President Buhari and warned about the danger of allowing the PDP to return to power.
