Former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim has said his resolve to join the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA is anchored on the fact that the party represents the finest Igbo patriotism as party members are the most patriotic and committed politicians in the country.

Ohakim’s move to APGA confirms this newspaper report months ago that the former Governor is on his way out of the PDP.
He had announced his governorship ambition in February, 2018.

In a statement, he said APGA is “our blood and it has been the winning party in Imo State”

He invited Imolites to join him on Friday, July 27, 2018 a day he will be declaring to run for the 2019 governorship election
APGA is the home of Ndigbo, represents the finest Igbo patriotism as APGA members are the most patriotic and committed politicians in the country.

“APGA is in our blood and it has been the winning party in Imo State. Therefore, Ohakim feels at home in APGA where he meets the needed kindred spirit to salvage the state”.

He expressed worry over what he described “the elevation of greed as state policy, the widespread hunger and poverty and coupled with high rate of infant mortality, unemployment, collapse of the economy in the era of boom, total collapse of governance structures, the desecration of our cherished values and the invasion of our tradition.
