The Latter Rain Assembly Pastor, Tunde Bakare has opened up why he visited President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reports had it the social media that the Pastor was at the Villa with Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun where they met Buhari behind closed doors.
Bakare has insisted that he did not meet the President along with the Minister as reported in the media.
He described the reports as cheap, stating that he only met the Minister at the lobby of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The pastor revealed that he met with President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa to thank him for dispatching a high profile delegation to the funeral of his mother penultimate weekend.
The President’s spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina in a statement said the claim that both personalities simulteanouly met the President was “far from the truth”
He said the Minister coincidentally met Bakare whom he said was on a scheduled visit to the State House to see the President
He also said the pastor particularly thanked the minister for finding time to attend his mother’s funeral which took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, penultimate weekend adding that Adeosun had seen Buhari no fewer than three times earlier this week, and had no reason to meet with him again yesterday.
